Hi George! I'll be at the Reno concert on July 31st - I'm very excited! I've never had the opportunity to see Ruben live, but I know that there is nothing like seeing Clay in person. He engages the crowd and makes each concert a one-of-a-kind experience.

Thanks for the nice write up and I'll be back after my concert experience!

I am so glad that I will be attending 3 of the concerts. You can never hear too much Clay Aiken.

Tried & True is an amazing album and Clay's voice soars on the great songs.

Thanks for posting the information.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for the comments, Glad to see everyone likes the post, and more importantly Clay. It is guaranteed to be an excellent tour, the venues are theatre style locations, so acoutics should be great, which will just deliver Clay's vocals and the music just perfectly.

The Asheville concert at the Biltmore estate on July 23rd is missing from the list, but I'll be there.

There is nothing like seeing and hearing Clay Aiken live! He is as much a comedian as he is a singer and I've loved every concert of his I've been to.

I'm also looking forward to seeing and hearing Rubin, as I haven't heard him since the idol days.

It's just a week from today! YES!!!

I will be seeing Clay and Ruben at the Kings Center in Melbourne, Florida. His shows are so dynamic and he always has something funny to say to the audience. I am very excited and have only 9 days to wait. Love his CD Tried and True.

George, you really summed it up when you said you have to see Clay "live to really feel the magic, emotions, and raw power of his vocal talent." He is one of the most dynamic performers I've ever seen in person!! His rapport with the audience, his delivery of every song and his personality are really a sight to behold. I'll be seeing him in Snoqualmie and at the Silver Legacy. Can hardly wait.

Hi George: You must have studied Clay a lot because you hit the nail right on the head...The guy can entertain a crowd and his banter and interation with the crowd at every venue is quite different from the other. But, that voice just leaves you wanting more. You leave and days after you walk around with that warm grin on your face.....Clay Aiken can do that to you like no one else can. Thank you for the great article. Can't wait for my tour date to get here in Melbourne.

The actual album tour is NEXT year, but this one will be great songs from the 50', 60's and 70's, I believe. Should be absolutely super!

Ruben and Clay are close friends, and it will show on stage. They are very funny together. Clay's voice is just incredible, and Ruben has a nice, smooth sound. What a combo!

At least on THIS tour, since Ruben will be there, somebody will actually remember the words to the songs. Aiken never can. The Claymates think that's just sooooo cute, but it's very unprofessional and annoying. Once in a while would be understandable, but he forgets lyrics all the time. And that horrible banter!! Claymates are obviously easily entertained. I feel sorry for Ruben's fans who will be subjected to the poor excuse for an entertainer that Clay Aiken is.

Clay's been entertaining, and enaging audiences, for 7 years. The fans as well as 'newbies' in the audiences from the concerts I've been to all really enjoy him. The banter and the occassional forgotten lyrics are all part of the fun.

If his concert style is not for you, no need to rain on everyone else's parade.

I'm really looking forward to seeing him and Ruben together again. Should prove to be a really good show.

Anonymous 2:12. Remember Clay actually sings the lyrics,no lip synching. Whatever, he always entertains and once the ARLG Aiken Random Lyric Generator, might kick in, as it does with every LIVE performer. Think you have an agenda and are fooling nobody anymore.

July 17, 2010 at 4:10 PM

I don't mind a hater posting here but at least tell the truth. Clay does not forget the lyrics "all the time"......In fact for the NAT, I suspect the lyric problem he had on When You Say You Love me was "schtick" as in on purpose.

To that anonymous who posted at 2:12 PM.
About Ruben fans, nothing against Ruben but I doubt there will be many of his fans at the concerts. I wonder why you are taking the time to post. I think the reason of so much hatred lately is that they can't stand that Clay has been everywhere on the last few months, and in a good way, I'm glad because he deserves it! Besides the tour, his PBS special will star being aired in August, also his Disney involvement is a big deal. I love it all!

Hello Anonymous,
Thank you for your comment, and thank you everyone for commenting on this post and Clay.

Ok: For the record I purposely did not include his first date in Ashville, NC (July 23rd.) I know it is the first show of the tour.

This was intended as a Good Luck Omen!!! to not inlcude the first date in the concert listing.

But I do thank you for pointing it out. All of Clay's fans know where the first show starts and when it starts.

George, I hope you get to go to a show. Clay live is awesome.

And for those who don't like him I have 2 words. Stay home!

I have to be content with seeing the PBS concert live and seeing him in Bringing Broadway Home. I really wanted to go to Asheville but it's just not possible.

Oh no, George, I hope I didnt jinx him!! Nah! Nothing could, Clay is just the best live!! And about the person saying forgetting lyrics is 'unprofessional' what am I at a business conference haha WHO CARES!?! Its Clay!! He is so funny especially when he screws up!
I miss seeing him on tour so much, I am beyond excited!! 5 days!!!

I hope he and Ruben do some kind of funky rap or something. That would be so much FUN!
