One of the highlights of the night was April Wine, one of the biggest Canadian rock bands from the 70’s and 80’s. April Wine is now the newest member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

April Wine was formed in 1969 in Waverley (near Halifax), Nova Scotia, then relocated to Montreal, to begin their rock n roll quest. April Wine fronted by Myles Goodwyn and original members David Henman, Ritchie Henman, and Jim Henman, set out to start the Canadian rock legacy.

Once they arrived in Montreal, April Wine was signed to Aquarius Records, and recorded their debut album “April Wine” in 1971, which gave them their first commercial hit “Fast Train”, that was played on all radio stations across the country.

Many of April Wine’s albums had been Gold and Platinum certified. With such big hits as “Just Between You and Me”, “You Could Have Been a Lady”, “Tonight is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love”, “I Wouldn’t Want to Lose Your Love”, “Roller”, “I Like to Rock”, and many other great singles, proved there were a great rock n roll band.

Jimi Hendrix: The Man, Magic, Truth and Legend.

Jimi Hendrix, after forty years made it back to #1 on the Billboard chart for hard rock albums, for his new release “Valleys of Neptune”.

This marks an historic event, and even a Guinness Book of World Records, for the only artist to chart back on billboard four decades after his death, and reach the number 1 spot. Only Elvis comes close with his re entry after twenty six years after his death.

Valleys of Neptune, is clearly a great album of mostly new material from Jimi Hendrix. The Hendrix estate had mentioned they will be making a few releases over the next few years of previously un released Hendrix recordings.

Jimi Hendrix is considered by (Rolling Stone Magazine) the greatest guitarist of all time.

Jimi Hendrix: The Man, the magic, the Truth

This book is possibly the best biography on Jimi Hendrix, which as the title of the book mentions, The Man, the Magic, and the Truth about the man who is the greatest guitarist of all time.

This book is a must read for all Jimi Hendrix fans, and for the new fans who don’t know much about Jimi Hendrix.

There is not too much in depth info on Jimi Hendrix, other than references to his music, songs, and front stage antics. We all know he put his 1965 Fender Stratocaster on fire on the stage.

A quick update on Jimi Hendrix’s 1965 Fender Stratocaster.

Hendrix’s Stratocaster that he set on fire on stage, had been stored in a garage for over forty years, it was recently discovered.

The burnt 1965 Fender Stratocaster, had recently been sold at an auction for over $400,000.00.

Just listen to some of Jimi Hendrix’s song, and it is undeniable the talent Jimi had, and the wonderful music he shared with us all.

to sum up a description of Jimi Hendrix, it would have to be the following.
