One of the highlights of the night was April Wine, one of the biggest Canadian rock bands from the 70’s and 80’s. April Wine is now the newest member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

April Wine was formed in 1969 in Waverley (near Halifax), Nova Scotia, then relocated to Montreal, to begin their rock n roll quest. April Wine fronted by Myles Goodwyn and original members David Henman, Ritchie Henman, and Jim Henman, set out to start the Canadian rock legacy.

Once they arrived in Montreal, April Wine was signed to Aquarius Records, and recorded their debut album “April Wine” in 1971, which gave them their first commercial hit “Fast Train”, that was played on all radio stations across the country.

Many of April Wine’s albums had been Gold and Platinum certified. With such big hits as “Just Between You and Me”, “You Could Have Been a Lady”, “Tonight is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love”, “I Wouldn’t Want to Lose Your Love”, “Roller”, “I Like to Rock”, and many other great singles, proved there were a great rock n roll band.
