Lady Gaga’s $30 Million Saga

Lady Gaga is being sued by Rob Fusari over royalties owed, claiming to be $30.5 million USD. In the lawsuit it claims Mr. Fusari had already received over $600,000 to date.

Rob Fusari was the co-executive producer on Lady Gaga’s debut album “The Fame” Rob also co-wrote four songs on the album, “Paparazzi”, “Beautiful, Dirty, And Rich”, “Brown Eyes”, and “Disco Heaven”. He also co-wrote “Retro, Dance, Freak”, and “Again Again” which was on the European release of The Fame.

Lady Gaga and Rob Fusari

Rob Fusari, is responsible for Lady Gaga’s fame, when he met her in 2006, he helped transform her from a rock artist to a dance artist. He is also the one who came up with her stage name “Lady Gaga”. Rob and Lady Gaga were romantically involved with each other in her early stages of her career. Rob was also the one who got her a record deal in the early days.

Lady Gaga is not his first success as a song writer with an artist. Rob had worked and written songs for Destiny’s Child. He wrote “Bootylicous”, “Apple Pie A La Mode”, “Happy ace”, and “Thank You” for their Survivor album.

Rob also worked with Whitney Houston’s comeback album, with a song he wrote “Love That Man” which reached # 1 on the Billboard dance charts.

The lawsuit against Lady Gaga is for $30.5 million, which has some people doubting, that she has even made that much, and if she has made that much, he is not entitled to $30.5 million. The Gaga Saga continues…
